Riyad as-Salihin, 984
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Travelling is a torment because it deprives a traveller of his food, drink and sleep. So when one of you has accomplished his purpose of journey, let him return home quickly." <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
السفر قطعة من العذاب، يمنع أحدكم طعامه، وشرابه ونومه، فإذا قضى أحدكم نهمته من سفره، فليعجل إلى أهله
((متفق عليه)) . نهمته : مقصوده

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) A Muslim should not stay away from his family beyond what is needed.<br>
2) It is better for a man to remain with his family than to travel, so as to take care of them and discipline and educate them.<br>
3) The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was merciful and compassionate towards his Ummah as he gave this instruction to the guardians of households.
