Guidance from the Hadiths:
1) It shows the merit of monotheism. The words of Tawhid: La illah illa Allah (there is no god but Allah) is a means to enter Paradise.
2) We should be keen to make the words of Tawhid “there is no god but Allah” the last thing that the dying person says. If he utters other words after it, we should remind him of it once again.
3) When we exhort a dying person to say the testimony of faith, we thus comply with the Prophet’s command and show kindness to the dying person. Nothing is better than reminding him of words whose price is Paradise.
