Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not look at one who trails his lower garment, Qamees or turban arrogantly." <b>[Abu Dawud and An- Nasa'i]</b>.

وعن ابن عمر رضى الله عنهما ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏

‏الإسبال من الإزار، والقميص، والعمامة؛ من جر شيئاً خيلاء لم ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة‏

‏‏‏‏.‏((رواه أبو داود والنسائي))

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br> Hanging down does not apply to lower garments only, but it also includes shirts and turbans. So, the sleeve should go down to the wrist, the lower garment should not go beyond the ankles, and the turban should not have lengthy ends. All of these may denote arrogance.<br> 2) It demonstrates a stern warning to those who drag their clothing out of arrogance.
