Riyad as-Salihin, 779
Samurah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, 'Wear white clothes because they are the purest and they are closest to modesty; and shroud the dead in it." <b>[An- Nasa'i and Al-Hakim]</b>.
وعن سمرة رضى الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :
إلبسوا البياض؛ فإنها أطهر وأطيب، وكفنوا فيها موتاكم
. ((رواه النسائي والحاكم))

1) The best clothes are the white ones. They are purer and more pleasant, and they give brightness and indicate the purity of this Ummah and its members, as well as its creed. Indeed, clothing has impact on those who wear it.<br>
2) We should take care of how we shroud the dead, given their inviolability.
