Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The food of two persons suffices for three persons, and the food of three persons suffices for four persons." <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.

عن أبى هريرة رضى الله عنه قال ‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏طعام الاثنين كافي الثلاثة، وطعام الثلاثة كافي الأربعة‏"‏.‏ ((متفق عليه))
