Riyad as-Salihin, 631
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Ashaj Abdul-Qais (May Allah be pleased with him), "You possess two qualities that Allah loves. These are clemency and tolerance." <b>[Muslim]</b>.
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأشج عبد القيس: “إن فيك خصلتين يحبهما الله: الحلم والأناة”. ((رواه مسلم)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) It affirms Love as an attribute of Allah Almighty, in the sense that befits Him.<br>
2) Traits are varied; some are innate and others are acquired.<br>
3) Traits are changeable; otherwise, preaching and advice would be meaningless.<br>
4) We are urged to carefully consider matters and their consequences. Deliberateness on problematic matters is good.
