Riyad as-Salihin, 588
Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) found a dry date-fruit lying in the way and said, "Had it not been for fear of being from charity I would have eaten it." <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
عن أنس رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وجد تمرة فىالطريق فقال: “لولا أنى أخاف أن تكون من الصدقة لأكلتها” ((متفق عليه))

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) One of the characteristics of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and his household is that charity is forbidden for them, since charity is regarded as the impurities of people.<br>
2) It is recommended for a person feeling doubt about something to let his sense of God-fearing prevail and leave that thing.
