Riyad as-Salihin, 500
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to supplicate: "O Allah, make the provisions of family of Muhammad (ﷺ) bare subsistence." <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
وعن أبي هريرة، رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم : " اللهم اجعل رزق آل محمد قوتاً" ((متفق عليه)). قال أهل اللغة والغريب: معنى " قوتاً" أي: ما يسد الرمق.

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) It is a sign of a person’s happiness that he is content with what is sufficient and spares him the need to beg people.<br>
2) Moderateness is the Prophet’s approach; which is sufficiency, without extravagance or stinginess.<br>
3) It was the Prophet’s guidance to ask Allah for sufficiency while seeking refuge from poverty.
