Riyad as-Salihin, 498
Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) showed us a sheet and a thick lower garment and said to us Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was wearing them when he died. <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
وعن أبي موسى الأشعري رضي الله عنه قال: أخرجت لنا عائشة رضي الله عنها كساء وإزاراً غليظاً قالت: قبض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذين ((متفق عليه)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) It describes the noble Prophet’s clothing, which was coarse and rough. How far (from his example) are those who lead a life of luxury!<br>
2) It shows the Prophet’s asceticism, modesty, and contentment. He used to wear what was available, without extravagance or boastfulness.<br>
