Riyad as-Salihin, 457
Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sat on the pulpit and we sat around him. He said: "What I am concerned most is the flourishment and the beauty of this world will be available to you". <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
وعن أبي سعيد الخدري، رضي الله عنه ، قال : جلس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، على المنبر، وجلسنا حوله، فقال: "إن مما أخاف عليكم من بعدي ما يفتح عليكم من زهرة الدنيا وزينتها” ((متفق عليه)) .

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) Attachment to worldly life that makes a person forget about the Hereafter is the thing that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) feared most for his Ummah.<br>
2) The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was compassionate toward his Ummah and keen on their salvation. He feared they might get attached to the transient pleasures and forget the permanent ones. Callers to Allah Almighty should adopt this same approach.<br>
3) The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) informed us about the condition of his Ummah and that worldly life will be opened for them along with its ornaments and temptations.
