Riyad as-Salihin, 436
Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah is pleased with His slave who eats a meal and praises Him for it; and takes a drink and praises Him for it". <b>[Muslim]</b>.
وعنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “إن الله ليرضى عن العبد أن يأكل الأكلة، فيحمده عليها، أو يشرب الشربة، فيحمده عليها" ((رواه مسلم)). ((الأكلة” بفتح الهمزة وهي المرة الواحدة من الأكل كالغدوة والعشوة، والله أعلم)).

1) When a person praises Allah Almighty each time he eats or drinks, this is a kind of hope on the part of this person towards his Lord.<br>
2) In his food and drink, a believer seeks the pleasure of Allah Almighty and to be able to worship Him.
