Riyad as-Salihin, 101
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said. "The (Hell) Fire is surrounded with all kinds of desires and passions, while Jannah is surrounded with adversities." <b>[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]</b>.
السابع: عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
حجبت النار بالشهوات، وحجبت الجنة بالمكاره
((متفق عليه)).

<b>Guidance from the Hadith:</b><br>
1) It shows that the prohibited lusts are doors to hellfire; and it means following one’s desires that violate the Sharia.<br>
2) Arduous deeds lead to honor and admission to Paradise.<br>
3) If the individual pushes himself to worship Allah, his self will eventually love this worship and grow accustomed to it.
