Riyad as-Salihin, 39
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "He whom Allah intends good, He makes him to suffer from some affliction". <b>[Al- Bukhari]</b>.
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
من يرد الله به خيراً يصب منه
: ((رواه البخاري)).

1) Facing affliction with patience and expectation of the reward from Allah raises one’s ranks and expiates his sins.<br>
