  • [٩٤٠] (ع) جامع بنُ شَدّاد المحاربيُّ، أبو صَخْرة، الكُوفِيّ. روى عن: صَفْوان بنِ محرز، وطارق بن عبد الله المحاربي، وعَبْد الرَّحْمَن بنِ يَزِيد النَّخَعي، وأبي بكر بن وعَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ، وأبي بُردة بنِ أبي موسى، وعَامِر بن عبد الله بنِ الزُّبَير، وجَمَاعَة. وعنه: الأعمش، ومسعر (¬٤) وشُعْبة، والثَّوْري، والمسعودي، وأبو العميس، وَغَيْرهم. قَالَ البُخَارِيّ عن علي: "له نحو عِشْرين حديثًا".وقَالَ ابن مَعِين (¬١) وأبو حَاتِم (¬٢) والنَّسَائيّ: "ثِقَة". وقَالَ أبُو نُعَيْم (¬٣): "مَات سنة ثماني عَشَرَة" (¬٤). وقَالَ ابن سَعْد: "مَات سنة ثمان وعشرين ومِائَة، وقَالَ في مَوْضِع آخر: سنة سبع وعِشْرين" (¬٥). قلت: وقَالَ يعقوب بن سُفْيان: "ثِقَة متقن" (¬٦). وقَالَ العِجْلِيّ: "شيخ عال ثِقَة، من قدماء شيوخ الثَّوْريّ" (¬٧). وفي "كتَاب الطبقات" لابن سَعْد: أخْبَرنَا طلق بن غنام، سَمِعْت قيس بن الربيع يَقُول: مَات جامع بن شداد ليلة الجمعة، لليلة بقيت من رمضان سنة ثمان عَشَرَة ومِائَة (¬٨). وكذا ذكر ابن حبَّان في "الثِّقَات" وفاته، ثمَّ قَالَ: "وقيل: سنة سبع وعِشْرين" (¬٩) قلت: وفيها أرخه خَلِيفَة بن خياط (¬١٠).
