‏ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ ‏

English translation

It was narrated from Salamah bin Qais that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"When you clean yourselves (with stones, after defecating), use an odd number."
