‏ بُعِثْتُ فِي نَفَسِ السَّاعَةِ فَسَبَقْتُهَا كَمَا سَبَقَتْ هَذِهِ هَذِهِ ‏

‏ ‏.‏ لإِصْبُعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ‏.‏

English translation

Al-Mustawrid bin Shaddad Al-Fihri reported that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:

"I was sent in advance of the Hour, so that I precede it like this precedes this." (Indicating) with his index and middle fingers.

‏ بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَاتَيْنِ ‏

‏ ‏.‏ وَأَشَارَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى فَمَا فَضْلُ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى الأُخْرَى ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

English translation

Anas narrated that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:

"The Hour and I were dispatched like these two" - and Abu Dawud(a narrator) indicated with his index and middle fingers- so, how much more(in length) is one then the other.
