To cut short the mustaches

باب قَصِّ الشَّارِبِ

وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُحْفِي شَارِبَهُ حَتَّى يُنْظَرَ إِلَى بَيَاضِ الْجِلْدِ، وَيَأْخُذُ هَذَيْنِ، يَعْنِي بَيْنَ الشَّارِبِ وَاللِّحْيَةِ.

‏ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ ‏

English translation

Narrated Ibn `Umar:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "To get the moustaches cut 'short is characteristic of the Fitra."

‏ الْفِطْرَةُ خَمْسٌ ـ أَوْ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ ـ الْخِتَانُ، وَالاِسْتِحْدَادُ، وَنَتْفُ الإِبْطِ، وَتَقْلِيمُ الأَظْفَارِ، وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ ‏

‏‏.‏

English translation

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra: circumcision, shaving the pubic region, clipping the nails and cutting the moustaches short."
