A man's supplication for someone who has wronged

Jabir reported that the Messenger of Allah, (ﷺ), said, "O Allah, let my hearing and sight be sound and make them remain sound until I die. Turn away from me the one who wrongs me and give me revenge on him."

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ‏:‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي سَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي، وَاجْعَلْهُمَا الْوَارِثَيْنِ مِنِّي، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي، وَأَرِنِي مِنْهُ ثَأْرِي‏.‏

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, (ﷺ), used to say, "O Allah, let me enjoy my sight and hearing and make them remain sound until I die. Turn away my enemy and grant me revenge on him."

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ‏:‏ اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِي بِسَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي، وَاجْعَلْهُمَا الْوَارِثَ مِنِّي، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى عَدُوِّي، وَأَرِنِي مِنْهُ ثَأْرِي‏.‏

Tariq ibn Ashyam al-Ashja'i said, "We used to go and visit the Prophet, (ﷺ). On one occasion a man and woman came and the man asked, 'Messenger of Allah, what should I say when I pray?' He replied, 'Say, "O Allah, forgive me, show mercy to me, guide me and provide for me.; They will combine this world and the Next world for you.'"

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ طَارِقِ بْنِ أَشْيَمَ الأَشْجَعِيُّ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ‏:‏ كُنَّا نَغْدُو إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَيَجِيءُ الرَّجُلُ وَتَجِيءُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَيَقُولُ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ أَقُولُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ‏؟‏ فَيَقُولُ‏:‏ قُلِ‏:‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، فَقَدْ جَمَعَتْ لَكَ دُنْيَاكَ وَآخِرَتَكَ‏.‏
